Carson found out that his mom was the one who threw away his acceptance form for college. His mom said she didn't want him to get these big ideas of becoming a writer for the new york times. She said they wouldn't ever happen. She also said life builds you up just to brea you down. After Carson found this out he got in his car and just started driving. He didn't know where he was going, he just drove. He was so shocked about what his mother did. All if his dreams had been crushed. His dream of getting out of clover failed. He drove up the the 'Welcome to Clover' sign with the population on it, and started hitting it with his umbrella. He took all of his anger out on the sign.
I was really shocked when he found out it was his mom. I don't think she should of done that. She ruined his life dreams, just because her life didn't turn out the way she planned it to. I don't know what will happen in the end of the book. Will they make up? Will the school he was dying to go to let him in? i would never be able to forgive my mom for doing that. I don't think he will either. I wonder if the mom regrets doing that.
Isabelle -- great thinking about the plot events in the story. Sometimes parents can do surprising things! I would hope that Carson's mom would regret her actions.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are writing the blog, please do look closely at capitalization (New York Times) and spelling (brea which should be break) errors.
Good work. 23/25
